Hello there! I'm so excited to show you how to make one of my favorite side dishes, these Healthy Baked Sweet Potato Fries. These are quick to prepare and are a hit with my kids.

  • Sweet potatoes. Plan on one medium potato per adult person.
  • Vegetable oil or other cooking oil of your choice.
  • Salt.

Pre-heat your oven to 420F. Peel your sweet potatoes, and cut off the ends. Cut the potatoes into roughly 3 inch long sections, then cut them into slices.

Cut each slice into fry sized pieces. Put all your fries in a bowl, and drizzle them with your vegetable oil. Then add salt to taste.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and spread out your fries in a single layer. Don't over crowd the fries.

Bake them in your 420F oven for 30-45 minutes, or until done. I always test mine by poking them with a fork, and then doing a taste test.

Recipe Notes

And if you're craving something extra sweet, you can choose to dress them up with a sprinkle of brown sugar and cinnamon. However, that does take away the whole healthy aspect! I hope your family enjoys these Healthy Baked Sweet Potato Fries as much as mine does!
