It’s nearly Fall and apple picking season. We have a cabin in Gatlinburg that is just around the corner from a large apple orchard. I have always wanted to visit during apple season. But, until then, I will have to satisfy that desire with activities closer to home. And, this woven apple basket craft is perfect for that.

Apple Basket Supplies:
- Brown construction paper.
- School glue.
- Scissors.
This is such a fun Fall project, and maybe it will encourage your little ones to eat some more fruits and veggies.

Let’s get started on this sweet woven apple basket! First, gather all of your supplies. This will make crafting a lot easier. I was able to gather all of the supplies from my craft closet.
This is such a great activity for the whole family!
First, cut the construction paper into one inch strips.
Next, weave the strips into a large square.
Now, use school glue to secure a strip of paper around all four edges of the woven paper.

Then, fold the paper so that there is a square in the middle. Next, trim the sides so it can be folded into a basket.
Finally, glue the sides together to create a dimensional woven basket. You can add a handle to the basket if you want too.
That’s it! This is such a fun project. And, I hope it has inspired you to create apple picking memories with your little ones even if you can’t visit an orchard.
