Teaching about weather concepts isn’t always fun, so we’ve put together this new set of weather mad libs for kids. Sure to put a funny spin on the science topic, these printable games are helping with literacy proficiency at the same time.
Mad libs are super simple to do: one player prompts others for a list of words to substitute for the blanks. There are so many ways to use these pages as a fun language arts supplement:
- Print and use them as an interactive family activity while you’re preparing dinner.
- Put them together as an activity booklet for travel time spent in the car while running errands or going on a road trip.
- Teachers, create a station within your classroom while studying weather patterns. (We found these fun weather activities for the classroom that you could use too.) Mad libs are also great fast finisher activities.
- Use them as games during sleepovers, birthday parties or wherever friends or family congregate.
Mad libs provide engaging and hilarious vocabulary practice for kids of all ages!
