I’m super thrilled with our new printable story starters series! Like our printable ad libs and printable kids poems, there will be a set for every major holiday and season! That means at any time of the year you can come here to get fun holiday worksheets for writing and reading practice. The collection has continued to grow, and you’ll be pretty pleased with the huge selection available on the site.
These printable Valentine story starters can actually be used to make your own Valentine cards or even a great Valentine gift. I like to glue them to construction paper to “frame” them and then send them off to grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. It’s not only thoughtful, but it also provides a connection with your kids, from enjoying their creative stories to ooh-ing and ahh-ing over their adorable handwriting.
As with our other story starters, you can also use them with younger kids by reading the prompt aloud and then transcribing the stories they come up with. Just because they don’t know how to write just yet doesn’t mean they don’t have some incredible story ideas tucked away in those little brains of theirs.
