Tissue Paper Ghost Craft

I am officially ready for Halloween and I cannot wait to see all of the little ghosts and goblins walk through my neighborhood soon! This has always been one of my favorite times of the year, and I loved to craft with my guys when they were younger. we would sit at our counter and spend hours cutting, glueing, painting, and coloring. Then, we would hang their masterpieces on the kitchen cabinets for everyone to see. One of my boys loved to make ghost projects. He loved to be scared (he still does), and the ghosts were always his favorite. In fact, this tissue paper ghost craft is one of the ones we made a lot. It is super easy, really affordable, and always turns out adorable!

Make some Halloween ghost luminarias too while you’ve got the craft supplies out!

Halloween Ghost Craft Supplies:

  • Black or blue construction paper.
  • White tissue paper.
  • School glue.
  • Scissors.
  • Googly eyes.

This project is great for small group crafting. I usually only had three kiddos at one time crafting. I think if you had too many more kids than that, you would would have a real live tissue paper mummy child.

Start by folding one sheet of tissue paper into quarters. Then, fold it in half lengthwise. Next, sketch half of a ghost shape on the tissue paper starting at the fold.

After you sketch the ghost, cut the ghost out. I liked to leave the top fold uncut so that two of the four ghosts being cut out are still attached, but you don’t have to.

Now add glue to the back of one of the ghosts and secure it to the construction paper.

Then, glue the second pair of ghosts to the inside of the first pair at the top. You want to let the tissue paper “flap”.

Finally, flip up the top sheet of tissue paper and glue two googly eyes onto the third layer of tissue paper.
