It’s nearly Spring, and that means it’s time to start working on all of the Spring crafts! When I think of Spring, I think of beautiful fresh flowers. And, when I was teaching, we would make pretty spoon flower craft projects each year, and I would send my learners home with their flowers and seeds to plant. You can use this craft to explore the life cycle of plant bulbs and to celebrate warmer weather. Alternatively make them as Mother’s Day gifts!

Let’s get started on this cute little craft project! First, gather all of your supplies. This will make crafting a lot easier.

Begin by taping four spoons together. Tape the handles of the spoons together, with the top of the spoons facing inward. However, you may need to hot glue them together first.
Then, fill your pots with pebbles. Now, carefully place the spoon flowers into the pots with pebbles.
Next, paint the tops of the spoons. If you are using markers instead of paint, you should color them before you tape them together.
Finally, you can add green construction paper or pipe cleaner leaves to the flower stem.
That’s it! This is such a fun activity to celebrate Spring, or to make as a Mother’s Day gift. And, I hope it has inspired you to make a garden of adorable DIY spoon flower crafts with your little ones!
