Hi there! Today I’m sharing how to make this cute Shamrock Hair Bow Tutorial! These are super easy to make, but look way more complicated than they are. My bow is pink, since that’s the color my daughter requested, but you can make a traditional green shamrock if you’d prefer. Here’s what you’ll need to make one!

- Thin grosgrain ribbon in your color of choice. I believe mine measured around 1/4 inch.
- Hair clip.
- Rhinestone for the center.
- Hot glue gun.
Starting at the back of your hair clip, glue your ribbon onto it. I like to leave the part of the clip that slides into the hair bare to make it easier to wear, so start beyond the prongs. Then wrap it around the spring part, and onto the top half of the prongs. Make sure to have enough extra ribbon to wrap around the bottom side of the top prongs, and trim your ribbon. Add glue to that section of ribbon.
And wrap it around like shown. So, your clip should look like this now. Next you’re going to cut three pieces of your ribbon to 4 inches long. On one of these pieces, out a dot of glue in the middle.
And pinch the ribbon together where the glue is. Open this up, and you’ll see this makes the top of the heart shape! Now place a dot of glue at one end of the ribbon, and overlap the two ends like shown.
Now, just make two more for a total of three heart shapes. The great thing about making shamrocks is that they’re basically a group of heart shapes. On the non-spring end of your hair clip, place a dot of glue. Press the top center of one heart into this glue like shown. Then add another dot of glue on the clip where the bottom tip of the heart lands, and glue it down.
Add another dot of glue onto the tip of the heart, and glue another heart end on top of it, but pointing sideways. Add one more dot of glue on the top of that heart, and add the last heart on top. Lastly, add a last dot of glue and place your rhinestone on top.
You’re all done! See how easy that was? I hope you enjoyed following my Shamrock Hair Bow Tutorial and found it helpful!
