Hi there! Today I’m going to show you how to make this super cute sea shell tic tac toe game! This is great to have set out on a coffee table during summer, and it also makes a cute hostess gift. You can also make this with any leftover craft supplies you may have. You can use sticks and rocks for a forest themed tic tac toe, or twizzlers and oreos for a candy themed tic tac toe! Let’s get started!
Here’s another seashell craft for kids using paint and rhinestones to make ‘mermaid shells’!
Supplies:
- 10 seashells
- 4 paint stir sticks
- 3 colors of paint
- paint palette or paper plate
- paintbrush
- hot glue gun
- paper towels or baby wipes
Start by cleaning your seashells with either a baby wipe or a paper towel and some water. We just want to get any dirt off of them. Let them dry off, and put your two colors in your paint palette. Start painting your seashells, making 5 of one color and 5 of the other. They’ll need two coats of paint. I didn’t paint the underside of the shells, but you can if you want to.

While those are drying, paint your paint stir sticks with your third color. I painted the front, back, and sides with two coats and let them dry completely. Move your sticks around to form a tic tac toe board, and make sure they’re as even as possible. When you’re happy with how they look, go ahead and hot glue the two top sticks into place to hold everything together.
When your tic tac toe board and your seashells are all ready, all you have to do is start playing!
My girls fell in love with this set, because it reminded them of the little mermaid and going to the beach! I hope your kids enjoy this sea shell tic tac toe game as much as mine do!
