Begin by cutting strips of green and pink paper. Then, cut a tree shape out of the brown construction paper.

Next, roll the strips of paper around the pencil. We rolled some of the strips of paper tighter than others, however, I loved the differences in the leaves and flowers.

Next, glue the tree trunk on to the blue construction paper. Then, take the paper strip spirals and arrange them on the tree trunk. Finally, glue the spirals in place after you are happy with their arrangement.
