Recycled Playtime Craft: Stomping Feet

I want to be sure to give credit for this idea to A Happy Wanderer.  I saw it on her site and just knew I had to put the leftover Christmas boxes to work with this recycled craft for kids.  Everyone in our house was sick and grumpy, and I thought it might be fun for us to get silly as we were stomping around.

What You Need to Make Stomping Feet

  • Cardboard
  • Marker
  • Scissors
  • Pipe cleaners

Draw a great big foot onto a piece of cardboard and cut it out. Flip it over and trace onto another piece of cardboard and cut that out, too. You will end up with a decently-matched left and right foot.

Cut four holes into each foot around where your child's real foot will go. Thread the pipe cleaners through from he back. I used two pipe cleaners for each foot.

Step on and fasten with the pipe cleaners. You're now ready to stomp around the house!
