Paper Pumpkin Patch Project Supplies:

  • Brown construction paper.
  • Orange construction paper.
  • White or blue construction paper.
  • Green construction paper.
  • Scissors.
  • School glue.
  • You can use our pumpkin template and leaf templates for this project if needed.

This fun craft is super easy and can be done by young crafters with very little supervision. But, you may need to help them with the cutting if they are very young. Or, if you have a digital cutting machine, you can cut a variety of pumpkin shapes from orange paper with it.

Let’s get started on this fun little Paper Pumpkin Patch Craft! First, gather all of your supplies. This will make crafting a lot easier.  Since this craft is made with construction paper and school glue, it shouldn’t take long to gather all of your supplies.

Begin by cutting the brown construction paper into a few wavy strips. Next, cut out pumpkin shapes from the orange construction paper. Finally, cut out leaves and stems from the green construction paper. You can precut all of this for the little ones and just have them glue each part in place.

Once all of your Pumpkin Patch Craft pieces are cut, glue two or three pieces of wavy brown construction paper on to the blue or white construction paper. Start with the top layer, and glue the short and bottom edges of the brown paper onto the middle of the white or blue construction paper. Then, add one or two more layers of brown construction paper on top, but go down to the bottom of the paper. This will create little pockets for the pumpkins to grow out of.

Then, slide the pumpkins into the brown paper pockets. You can glue the pumpkins in place, or you can leave them loose.

Finally, glue some leaves and stems around the brown pockets and onto the brown paper.

You can also add some pumpkin seeds to this craft project!
