Supplies:

  • Paper plate
  • Glitter paper
  • White paper
  • Mini feather boa or fake fur
  • Small fake flowers
  • Pencil
  • Black marker
  • Pastel pink marker
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Adhesive roller or glue stick

Start by taking your glitter paper and flipping it over. On the back, draw out a unicorn horn and two ears. Don’t worry about it being perfect. Drawing things by hand helps you become a better artist, and gives your unicorn a unique look and personality. On the back of the ears, add some adhesive or glue stick.

Glue the ears down on the piece of white paper, and cut them out leaving a 1/4 inch border of white around the edge of the ears. Make sure your paper plate is right side up, and put a line of hot glue along the bottom of the front of the horn.

Glue it down to the top of the paper plate rim like shown. Now do the same thing with the ears. Flip the plate over so the rounded side is facing up, and you can see your unicorn starting to take shape! Next you’re going to cut a piece of feather boa or fake fur long enough to go from ear to ear.

Add a generous amount of hot glue along the top of the unicorn’s head, and place the boa or fur on top and press down firmly. Next, go ahead and pull the heads of the flowers off the bunch, and trim the base of them so it’s flat.

Add a good amount of hot glue to the base of each flower, and press it just under the fluff. Now grab your black marker.

And draw on your unicorn eyes and mouth! You can draw them any way you like. Then, use your pastel marker to add some eyeshadow and blush to your unicorn’s face.
