Let’s learn how to make this fun St. Patrick’s Day Paper Plate Leprechaun Craft. I love St. Patrick’s Day, so I tend to go a little bit overboard with crafts and decorations for the holiday. But, some of my favorite decorations to this day are ones my boys made when they were in elementary school. This St. Patrick’s Day Paper Plate Leprechaun Craft is great for younger kids, and can be made without the face to create a mask for your little one to wear too!
St. Patrick’s Day Paper Plate Leprechaun Craft
- 1 piece of green construction paper.
- 1/2 piece of orange construction paper.
- Scraps of black and yellow construction paper.
- Paper Plate
- Googly eyes.
- Black marker.
This is such a fun project to make. Begin by cutting a top hat shape out of green construction paper. Set it aside.
Next, use your scrap black paper to cut a band for the top hat. Then, use the scrap of yellow paper to cut a buckle for the black band. Use glue or a glue stick to stick the band and buckle onto the hat.
Now, cut out a bunch of orange squares from the half piece of construction paper. this will be the leprechaun’s beard.
After the orange squares are cut, glue the hat on to the top of the paper plate. Then, glue the orange squares on the sides and bottom of the plate.
Now, glue the googly eyes on the plate. Finally, use the marker to draw a smile on your paper plate leprechaun.
If you want to create a mask, cut out the center of the paper plate before you glue the hat and beard onto the plate.
That’s it, I hope you enjoyed making your St. Patrick’s Day Paper Plate Leprechaun Craft! May Saint Patrick guard you wherever you go, and guide you in whatever you do, and may his loving protection be a blessing to you always.
