Here’s our latest addition to our kid’s poetry collection! We’ve been posting a new set of poems for every month of the year. These poems for the month of May are super fun to read and super cute as well. We love the month of May even more!! (Especially after such a coldddddd April!). Children get to celebrate warm weather and plenty of flowers. PLUS the end of the school year is in May, or at least right around the corner.
There are lots of ways to use poetry in the classroom or in your curriculum. Print them out for silent reading time, use them as a starting point for creative writing for craft projects, or send them home with students for extra credit reading. You can also use them as easy summer reading assignments!
