Let’s get started on this cute little craft project! First, gather all of your supplies. This will make crafting a lot easier.

Begin by cutting your paper tube to size. I can usually make three or four hats with a paper towel tube.

Next, cut enough green paper to cover the tube. Then, cut a green circle slightly larger than the tube. Now, cut a circle the same size as the tube.

Next, cut a strip of black paper to wrap around the bottom of the paper tube.

Now, cut a yellow buckle for the hat. I used a scrap of yellow paper and cut a small rectangle. Then, I cut a slightly smaller rectangle in the middle.

Finally, start gluing the leprechaun hat together. Glue the green paper over the tube. Then, secure the tube to the green circle with more glue. Next, glue the black strip around the bottom of the hat. Finally, add the buckle.

You can add glitter to the buckle too!

That’s it! This is such a fun activity to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day. I hope I have inspired you to create an adorable little leprechaun kids craft with your kids this St. Pat’s!
