It’s nearly Fall and the leaves will be falling soon. But, if you live in a climate that doesn’t have falling leaves, you have to make your own. And, as a teacher in Florida, we had to make our own, a lot. This handprint leaf art project is so much fun to make with little ones. Plus it doubles as a keepsake that’s pretty enough to display!

Fall Leaf Craft Supplies:
- Cardstock paper.
- Craft paint.
- Black marker.
- Paper plate.
This is such a fun Fall project. And, it will get your little ones ready for crisp Fall days, and taking walks through crunchy Fall leaves.

Let’s get started on this cute handprint leaf craft! First, gather all of your supplies. This will make crafting a lot easier. I was able to gather all of the supplies from from our craft closet.
This is such a great activity for little learners in a classroom or your little ones at home!
First, squeeze a small amount of Fall colored paints onto a paper plate.
Then, paint your little one’s hand with the Fall colored paint.
Now, have your little ones carefully place their hand onto the cardstock paper.

We read fun Fall books while we waited for the paint to dry. I love Pete the Cat Falling for Autumn and Slinky Malinki in the Fall.
Once the paint has dried completely, use the marker to draw the veins of the leaves.
That’s it! This is such a fun activity for your kids or students. And, I hope it has inspired you to create a beautiful Fall handprint leaf art with your little ones. The project is so pretty that it’s worthy of getting framed for a great grandparent gift, too!
