Halloween Puppet Playset Craft

Halloween is just around the corner! When I was a teacher my little learners would get so excited for the big day. But, that excitement often led to wild behavior. So, I would create fun Halloween crafts and projects to help calm them, but still enjoy the fun of the season. And, this Halloween puppet playset was one my kiddos loved so much I eventually made more durable versions for all of the seasons. 

Halloween Puppet Scene Craft

Halloween Pretend Playset Supplies:

• Felt, craft foam, and or construction paper.
• Scissors and craft knife.
• Hot glue gun and glue sticks.
• Popsicle sticks.
• Craft paint.
• Shoe box or other box.

This fun craft is super easy and can be done by elementary school crafters with a little supervision. And, it is a great activity for fine motor skills development too! 

Let’s get started on this cute little Halloween Puppet Playset scene! Firstly, gather all of your supplies. This will make crafting a lot easier.

Begin by cutting a small slot in the box for the puppets to slide into. Then start painting and decorating the inside of your box. You can totally be as creative as you want with this step. Once I started making more durable puppet scenes, I really got very creative with them. 

Then, cut out Halloween characters for the puppet scene. I usually cut out bats, cats, and pumpkins. 

Then, carefully glue the tops onto the popsicle sticks. However, if you painted the popsicle sticks, you will need to wait for the paint to dry first. 

Finally, it’s time to start playing with your new spooky Halloween Puppet Scene! 

That’s it! This is such a fun project to make during the Halloween season. Or, any season, really, you just need to make it seasonally appropriate.
