Supplies:

  • Halloween themed paper pack
  • Ruler
  • Glue runner or hot glue gun
  • Pencil
  • Scissors

For our first, smaller rosette, take two pieces of 12 x 12 paper. Mark dots every inch down the side of the papers, and use these as a guide to draw lines straight across. These are guidelines for our accordion folds. You can also freehand the folds, but I find that guides help keep the folds straight and even.

Now go ahead and accordion fold both sheets of paper. Take one of the folded sheets, and bend it in half.

Place adhesive on one side, and attach the two ends together like shown. Do the same for your second sheet of paper, and then attach the two together to form the whole rosette.

The center of paper rosettes are always a bit messy, so let’s fix that! Find two round objects (like a glass or bowl) that are slightly different sizes. You can also use a circle compass if you have one handy. Pick two coordinating papers and trace circles on both of them.

Place adhesive on the back of the smaller circle and layer it on the bigger one.

Then place adhesive on the back of the bigger circle and attach it to the center of the rosette. You’re all done! Now I want to show you how to make a super big one! Take 8 sheets of paper and accordion fold all of them. Don’t fold them in half. Glue the edges of the sheets together, and then bend it into the circle shape.

And glue the last edge. Use a larger bowl to trace out a circle, and layer a fun saying or sticker on top. Or print out some of our Halloween labels for the center! Then attach it to the middle of the giant rosette.

And you’re all done! You can hang these directly on the wall with command strips or punch holes in the top and hang them up from the ceiling with twine or ribbon! I hope you have fun making these Halloween Party Paper Rosettes!!
