As the weather is getting colder in many regions, we are looking at more limited outdoor playtime. For many of us, it is essential for our serenity to proactively stock up our “tool boxes” with engaging indoor activities for our kiddos. These Halloween I Spy games for kids are so much fun for kids to do! The worksheets are filled with easily recognizable images for the holiday that kids love to spot and count.
As busy parents and educators, we look for fun and interactive screen-free activities that aren’t just entertaining. When planning activities, we have a mental checklist of “must haves” that includes:
- Is it easy to prepare for this activity?
- Is it mess free?
- Does it encourage independent quiet playtime?
- Is it educational?
This set of I-Spy games for kids fulfills all of these criteria. In addition, working through these worksheets builds skills such as memory, counting, and visual discrimination. It is a perfect seasonal activity to use at home and in the classroom. For preschoolers, you may want to sit with them to help get them started. Older students will take right off counting, crossing off their finds and racing to see who finishes first!
