Supplies:

  • 3 cups foam shaving cream. Cheap classic shaving cream works best
  • 1/2 cup Elmers white school glue
  • food coloring
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp saline solution
  • Bowl and spatula for mixing

You’re going to start by measuring out 3 cups of foam shaving cream into a big bowl. I used Barbasol because its super thick and foamy, and it’s cheap! Then you can add your food coloring and mix it in. I used a few drops of neon orange to make this pretty creamsicle color.

Next you’re going to measure out a half cup of white school glue. This is approximately 1 standard sized bottle, but it’s always best to measure everything out so you make sure to get the right consistency. Mix the glue into the colored foam. Now you can take 1/2 tsp of baking soda and sprinkle that over the top.

Mix this into the foam as well. It’s time for the magical part! Take 1 tablespoon of saline solution and pour it over the foam mixture. Start stirring with your spatula, and the mixture will start pulling away from the sides of the bowl. Once it’s fairly slime-like, add just a couple drops of saline onto your hands. Be careful not to use a lot, or your slime will end up too stiff!! Spread the saline across your hands and then pull the slime out of the bowl. It will feel sticky at first, but keep kneading it and it will form into a smooth, extra fluffy slime.

This foam is fluffy and stretchy, and it just has that coolest consistency that you don’t get form regular slime. Now, keep in mind that within about 2-3 days, the foam will subside and you’ll be left with a standard slime. So enjoy the extra fluffiness in the first couple days after you make it! I recommend storing it in a plastic bag or airtight container.
