Let’s learn how to make some super easy doodles, and how to incorporate stickers and washi tape. I find that stickers and washi tape work best either on their own pages, or when used as small additions to layouts. Too many things that add thickness to a page can make your journal bulky and hard to close, so keep that in mind.

Here are some of my favorite supplies. I love washi tape and tend to pick up new rolls whenever I find a good deal. I’ve found that the washi tape and stickers at Michael’s are really good quality and they have sales pretty often. For doodling I love mechanical pencils, click erasers, a good white gel pen, Pigma Micron pens, and Crayola super tips for coloring.

Here are a few basic step by step doodles! A cactus, coffee cup, banner, books, pennant banner, leaves, and cherries!

If you like these and want to see more of them, please let me know in the comments and I can do more of these for you! Remember, doodling is easy. Just break down the image into it’s basic shapes, and go from there. Also, keep the details minimal and your doodle will look super cute! You can pick one doodle and even make a whole monthly and weekly layout around that one doodle.

I also drew out some simple dividers for you to copy! These are great for weekly layouts or even taking notes for school.

I know a lot of people are hesitant to bullet journal because of how long a layout can take. With washi tape and a marker, I made a weekly layout in less than 3 minutes!

This is a great way to use washi tape and save a lot of time on your weekly layouts.

I also like using washi tape to border the top and bottom of pages for notes, ideas, goals, or lists. For this month’s goals page, I put a washi tape border at the top and bottom, and then used stickers to go with each goal I had.

It’s a super fun way to add some visual interest to your page, especially if you’re not artistically inclined or don’t have the time to make cute doodles!

I hope you enjoy trying these easy doodles for your bullet journal!
