Dr. Seuss Breakfast!

Recently, Dot tried to throw us for a loop by asking for “green eggs and ham” for dinner.  Apparently, she’s never met her father and me, because she really wasn’t expecting us to actually make it happen.  It was so much fun that now we have green eggs and ham pretty often.  The other morning, we took it a step further and had a Dr. Seuss breakfast.  Literacy and toast?  Sounds like a good morning to me!

What You’ll Need to Make Green Eggs and Ham:

• Eggs
• Ham
• Green food coloring
• Frying pan
• Dr. Seuss books

Sorry the picture is a bit blurry.  Perhaps I was in a big hurry.  (Here’s what we used for the cooking portion of our activity.)

Add some green food coloring to your eggs.  Put it in the bowl, not on your legs.  (We typically make them greener, but Dot wanted “light green” that morning.)

We fried up our green eggs and ham and added a side of toast with jam…Sam I am. 😉

Yummy, yummy in the tummy.

Of course, you’ll want to read your books during your Dr. Seuss breakfast.  P is for Papa!
