My boys love to buy special shirts and bandanas for our two dogs. But, a lot of the time the clothes and bandanas are very expensive and aren’t exactly what we are looking for. So, we started making our own DIY dog bandanas for our pups, and they are so fun and easy to make!

DIY Dog Bandanas Supplies:
- Fabric – we use inexpensive fat quarters.
- Pinking shears.
- Fabric marker, permanent marker or paint.
- Optional – cutting machine, HTV, and heat press.
This fun craft is super easy and can be done by elementary school crafters with very little supervision. Our dogs are a very important part of our family. And, as a result, they have clothes, bandanas, leashes, and collars for each holiday and season.

First, gather all of your supplies. Then, let’s get started on these cute DIY dog bandanas!
Begin by cutting your fabric into a perfect square. It is important to start your DIY dog bananas with a nearly perfect square of fabric. To do this, fold the fabric in half into a triangle. Then, trim off any excess fabric.
Then, cut the fabric in half to yield two triangles. Or, in other words, two DIY dog bandanas.
If your fabric is a cute pattern, you can leave your bandana as is. Then, tie on your fur baby’s neck.
However, if you want to add a little more to the bandana, pull out the fabric markers or paint and decorate the fabric. Add your pup’s name or holiday designs. But, if you have a cutting machine, you can cut out some HTV images and press them onto the fabric.
