Christmas Rice Krispie Treats

We *heart* Rice Krispie Treats around here! They are so easy to make, and just perfect for last minute gatherings and classroom parties. Some of these pretty treats are not-so-last-minute, but all are certainly easier than elaborate cake pops, or intricately decorated cookies with royal icing.

Here’s a tip – when I make them around here, I throw in a cup or so of raw quick-cook oats, for a little added nutrition. My kids love the flavor – well, they might just not be noticing it very much. Other favorite and festive mix-ins are dried cherries, dried cranberries, and of course, mini chocolate chips!

I just tried making the rice krispies treat snowmen today. But I couldn’t get any of the candy decorations to stick to the snowmen. What do you recommend?
