Crafting With Food – Cracked Dyed Dragon Eggs/Dinosaur Eggs

This awesome craft idea is not my own, so kudos go to Our Best Bites for the idea.  They called theirs dinosaur eggs, but we went with dragon eggs instead because they look so mystical. This might be kind of a fun project to do after reading The Paperbag Princess with your little one.

What You Need to Make Dragon Eggs

  • Eggs
  • Water
  • Pan
  • Stove
  • Food coloring
  • Containers

*We made our dragon eggs a second time and made the dye much darker and let the eggs soak for about 3 hours.  The colors came out so much more brilliant!

What I Learned the Hard Way:

Like I mentioned above, I would soak the eggs much longer next time to make the lines appear darker once the shells were removed.
